Parcel bomb in Paris

Dec. 6 - One person has been killed in an explosion in a central Paris building where French President Nicolas Sarkozy's old law firm is located.

The French Interior Ministry confirmed the death and said another person was seriously injured. According to the public prosecutor's office the parcel that exploded was addressed to someone on a different floor from the one where Sarkozy's old firm is located. Officials said a second suspect package was being defused in the same building. The explosion took place on Boulevard des Malesherbes in the west of the French capital.
