Dec. 10 - Canadian Robert Pickton is found guilty on six counts of murder and faces charges of killing another 20 women.
Pig farmer Robert Pickton is accused of killing 26 Vancouver prostitutes and destroying their remains using his pigs and a rendering plant. Prosecutors say they are preparing for a second trial to deal with the remaining 20 murder charges. After a whole year on the case, jurors found the Canadian farmer guilty of killing six women. But the prosecution didn't get the first-degree verdict they had pressed for - instead, the jury returned a second-degree charge - implying that the killings were not planned in advance.
Benet Allen reports.
