Bush begins landmark visit
Jan. 9 - The U.S. President arrives in Israel amid tight security and deep scepticism among Palestinians.
Israel has bolstered security and imposed a near-total shutdown on Palestinian territories for Bush's first-ever visit to Israel and the West Bank in the hope he can bring new impetus to the Middle East peace process.
