Bush presses Mideast peace bid
Jan 9 - George Bush began his first visit as U.S. president to Israel and the Palestinian territories, saying he saw a new opportunity for peace.
For years Bush has been accused of neglecting the Middle East's most intractable conflict and analysts say chances are slim for a Palestinian statehood deal.
