Kenya loses $30m a day

Jan. 10 - Kenya's famous Maasai Mara park reserve is suffering a wave of cancellations following recent ethnic violence in the country.

Holidaymakers have opted to stay away from the popular destination in south-western Kenya, causing major losses for the multi-billion dollar tourism sector.

Maasai Mara tour operators say their bookings have fallen from 80 percent to between 15 and 20 percent.
