Jan. 22 - Kenyan police use tear gas on supporters of President Mwai Kibaki as they demonstrate for the first time since the election.
Police wanted to disperse Kibaki supporters before the visit of former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan who will mediate in the stand-off over Kenya's election that has caused weeks of unrest. Several hours before Annan was due to arrive in Kenya, riot police scattered about 100 pro-government supporters in Nairobi's central business district.
