British police in pay protest

Jan. 23 - British police officers have been out in full force to demand better pay from the government.

An estimated 20,000 police officers marched around central London, angry at the government that a 2.5% pay rise has been backdated to only December 1st for officers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Scotland, the pay rise has been backdated to September 1st.
