Kosovo awaits recognition
Feb. 18 - A day after the declaration of independence, Kosovo looks forward to recognition by Western powers.
But Russia's served notice at the UN Security Council that the new state will never be forced on its Serbian allies in the territory. And in the Serb capital Belgrade, the U.S. embassy was among the building's targeted by gangs of youths who clashed with riot police throughout the night.
