Mar. 27 - Tibetan monks disrupt an official news briefing at a temple in Lhasa, accusing the Chinese authorities of lying about recent unrest.
The monks at the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred temple in Tibet, barged into a news briefing for foreign journalists. Chinese authorities have brought a select group of foreign and Chinese reporters to Lhasa for a three-day tour of the city that was rocked by anti-Chinese violence on March 14. Chinese state television reported the journalists' visit but made no mention of the outbursts by the monks.
