Apr. 2 - Australia's first carbon storage plant - designed to compress thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide - has opened in Victoria.
The geo-sequestration plant is capable of capturing and compressing 100,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide which is stored two kilometres underground. Researchers hope the project will help to significantly reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.
