Apr. 3 - A pedestrian route between the Greek and Turkish Cypriot quarters of Nicosia opens for the first time in 50 years.
Greek Cypriot authorities have dismantled barriers and guard posts on their side of the United Nations buffer zone on Ledra Street, days after similar moves by their Turkish counterparts after the two sides last month agreed to relaunch talks to end their three-decades-old stalemate.
