N. Ireland: former IRA gunman's tale

(02:11) Report

Apr. 8 - A former member of the IRA (Irish Republican Army) swaps the gun for diplomacy as he campaigns on behalf of Northern Ireland's republican former prisoners.

In the decade since Northern Ireland's Good Friday peace agreement was signed on April 10, 1998, former Irish Republican Army member Michael Culbert has turned to community work as his means of achieving change.

Jailed for killing British soldiers, Culbert still holds a united Ireland as his goal, but through negotiation not violence.

Georgina Cooper reports.
