Fleeing Chile's ''dormant'' volcano

May 6 - Lava has started to spew from an erupting volcano in southern Chile forcing the immediate evacuation of the local area.

Chaiten volcano, in Patagonia, began erupting on Friday, sending a towering plume of ash into the sky that has since coated the surrounding area and reached as far as Argentina. Residents fear they may soon run out of clean drinking water.
