May 8 - After days of waiting for weather to clear, the Olympic flame makes it to the top of the world's highest mountain.
The Everest climbing team, which included 22 Tibetans, eight Han Chinese and one man from the Tujia minority had been on the mountain for over a week. Two days of snow at the weekend destroyed some of their roped paths but good weather over the last three days allowed the climbers to repair damage to the routes and finally reach the summit.
Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
