UEFA Cup final glory for Zenit
May 15 - Zenit St. Petersburg overcome Glasgow Rangers winning soccer's UEFA Cup final for the first time in their history.
Second-half goals from Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyrianov secured a 2-0 victory at the City of Manchester stadium (May 14).
It sparked jubilant scenes back in St. Petersburg and Zenit's manager, Dick Advocaat, hopes the win will attract more investment into Russian soccer.
