May 19 - From stricken Sichuan to Beijing's Tiananmen Square, millions of Chinese stand for three minutes to mourn the tens of thousands of earthquake victims.
The moment of grief was observed across the country of 1.3 billion people exactly one week after the 7.9 magnitude earthquake shook Sichuan province on 12 May 2008. Chinese officials expect the final death toll to top 50,000.
