May. 24 - Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai returns to face Robert Mugabe in a presidential run-off vote despite fears for his safety.
Tsvangirai cancelled his homecoming a week ago after his Movement for Democratic Change said it had learned that he was the target of a military intelligence assassination plot, a charge the government has dismissed as a propaganda stunt.
