Jun. 11 - Stars attend the world premiere of 'The Happening', the new thriller from director M. Night Shyamalan.
In "The Happening" a family is on the run from an inexplicable and unimaginable plague - an airborne neurotoxin that causes mass suicides in the north-eastern U.S. Philadelphia science teacher Elliot Moore (Wahlberg) is trying to find a way to avoid the deadly phenomenon.
Speaking at the premiere at New York's Ziegfeld theatre director Shyamalan, who achieved acclaim for his 1999 film "The Sixth Sense", says his new movie was influenced by 'paranoia' films of the 1950s and 60s such as Don Segal's "Invasion of the Body-Snatchers".
"The Happening" opens in North America on June 13th.
