Jun 24 - The Finnish company plans to make Symbian's mobile software royalty-free after buying the UK firrm's remaining shares for $410 million.
The decision to buy Symbian outright and further develop its software with competitors including Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Motorola is being regarded as a strategic move to better compete against Google's Android platform and Apple's iPhone.
