Jay-Z raps at Glastonbury

Jun 28 - American rapper Jay-Z headlines at the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

The rapper's performance at Glastonbury has been controversial, with many fans criticising his appearance at the festival, that is famous for rock music. The 38-year-old rapper was not about to take the criticism lying down.

Stepping out on to the stage, Jay-Z opened with Oasis anthem Wonderwall sending a message to Noel Gallagher who has been critical of the event organisers for letting hip-hop take centre stage.

Ailing singer Amy Winehouse performed some of her hits and reportedly lunged at a fan during a rendition of Rehab.

A total of 137,500 ticket have been sold for the three day event which is held at Worthy Farm, in Pilton, Somerset in south-western England.
