Sarkozy, Mandelson row over trade
Jul 2 - An internal European Union dispute over farm subsidies threatens to overshadow the start of France's rotating presidency.
EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson has accused French President Nicolas Sarkozy of trying to undermine him over the latest round of world trade talks. The row concerns the thorny issue of EU agricultural subsidies which critics argue unfairly disadvantage poor farmers in the developing world. Darcy Lambton reports.
