Jul 3 - Pop star Kylie Minogue, one of the world's most famous female recording artists, is honoured by Britain for her services to music.
The diminutive star, who recently overcame breast cancer, received an Order of the British Empire from Prince Charles, who was standing in for Queen Elizabeth, at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Dressed in an Yves Saint Laurent shimmering cream dress decorated with multicoloured stars and gold high-heeled sandals she chatted and joked with the prince.
Her music career has spanned more than two decades and seen millions of albums and singles sold.
The OBE award now ads to her collection; in May this year, she was given the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government for her "contribution to the enrichment of French culture".
