U.S. mortgage moves lift dlr, banks
July 14 - The dollar and regional financial stocks rose Monday after U.S. measures to shore up embattled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
The U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve announced on Sunday sweeping efforts to lend money and buy stocks if necessary in the pair, lifting the dollar against the yen.
