Karadzic: first picture, in disguise

Jul 22 - War crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic was arrested posing as a doctor of alternative medicine, Serbian authorities say.

Serbian officials displayed this photo they said was of Karadzic, looking markedly thin with a long white beard and flowing hair, at a news conference in Belgrade on Tuesday (22nd July 2008). They said he had freedom of movement and earned money from practicing medicine and added that they could not divulge more details because it might jeopardise efforts to arrest two other war criminals on the run.
