Paulson talks up mortgage plan

Jul 22 - Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is working to build support for his plan to help Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The plan could cost taxpayers as much as $25 billion according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac together own or guarantee about $5 trillion worth of US mortgages, representing about half of the American housing market.

Bobbi Rebell reports.
