Obama defends world tour

(01:55) Report

Jul 26 - U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama has defended his decision to take a world tour despite signs it hasn't helped his popularity at home.

Obama received a rock star-style reception in many European countries. His final stop was Britain where he met British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

The two men talked about a range of topics including the Middle East, climate change, terrorism and financial markets.
