Edouard makes landfall, spares oil

Aug. 5 - Tropical Storm Edouard hit the upper Texas coast bringing driving rains and winds near 65 mph.

Edouard did little damage to the major U.S. oil and gas producing region of the Gulf of Mexico. Weather forecasters predict the tropical storm will weaken as it moves inland.
