Sarkozy brokers Georgia peace deal

Sep. 8 - Sarkozy says Russian forces will leave core Georgia within one month as Medvedev insists on an international force for Georgia.

Sarkozy urged Russia to comply with a ceasefire agreement which Western governments say obliges Moscow to pull out troops that are still deep inside Georgia. Russia's Medvedev says Russia has received guarantee from EU on non-use of force by Georgia.
