Wall Street snaps global sell-off

Sep 16 - U.S. stocks rallied on Tuesday, following steep losses in Europe and Asia, as speculation of Federal assistance to American International Group.

  • The Dow rallied 141 points to 11,059.
  • The S&P 500 gained 20 points to 1,213.
  • The Nasdaq jumped 27 points to 2,207.
  • Crude oil dropped $4.56 to settle at $91.15 a barrel.
