Sep 17 - Insurer American International Group's fight for survival found a $85 billion lifeline from the Federal Reserve, boosting Asian share markets in early trading Wednesday.
The Fed with its secured loan would take nearly an 80 percent stake in AIG, which lost nearly half its value in after-hours trading after a 21-percent slide Tuesday.
