Sep 26 - President Bush said that a financial rescue plan for the U.S. financial system will be passed as discussions continue.
Bush made a brief statement in front of reporters at the White House on Friday morning, as talks between congressional leaders were to resume.
Late on Thursday, clashes between Republicans and Democrats stymied an agreement on the $700 billion plan at a White House meeting also attended by presidential nominees John McCain and Barack Obama.
