Oct 8 - Despite the crisis on Wall Street and the faltering U.S. economy, Barack Obama and John McCain are both proposing expensive tax cut plans.
The latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll has Obama with a slim 2-point lead on Republican John McCain. These next three and a half weeks are crucial to both men -- in terms of trying to close the deal with voters who are very unhappy with the country's direction.
