Bernanke: Stimulus appropriate
Oct. 20 - US Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke said that it was appropriate for Congress to consider a stimulus package.
Bernanke also said there were some encouraging signs that steps taken so far to unfreeze credit markets were helping, but it was too soon to assess their full effects. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
