Remembering the WW1 fallen

(02:05) Report

Nov 11 - Ceremonies have been held across Europe and around the world to mark the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy was joined by Britain's Prince Charles at Verdun in north eastern France to commemorate those who died.

Many people commemorate the day by wearing red poppies, representing the delicate flowers which bloomed in the middle of a battlefield in Flanders with so much death around it.
