DEc 11 - Germany's Ifo economic institute predicts the GDP of Europe's biggest economy will shrink by 2.2 percent in 2009, slashing its previous prediction of modest growth.
Germany's export-driven economy has suffered as foreign demand has weakened since the global financial crisis.
