Death defying Las Vegas leap

Jan 02 - Motorcross rider Robbie Maddison rang in the New Year with a spectacular world record jump in Las Vegas.

27-year-old Maddison catapulted himself off a 10-meter (35-foot) high ramp to the top of the 30-meter (96-foot) high replica of the Arch de Triomph.

After landing safely Maddison then jumped off the monument, plunging 25 meters (85 feet) in a free-fall before landing on a ramp.
