Obama stays silent on Mideast
Jan 5 - As the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalates, President-elect Obama has largely kept silent, allowing the outgoing Bush White House to take the lead.
Obama takes office on Jan. 20 but has not commented on the Middle East crisis since Israel launched its attacks on December 27th.
