Women barred from Iraq shrine
Jan 6 - Iraqi authorities ban women from entering the Khadimiya district of Baghdad as Shi'ites mark Ashura.
The measure was announced within hours of a suicide bombing that targeted Shi'ite pilgrims on Sunday which killing 35.
The attack was initially blamed on a woman although the government said later the bomber was male.
