Jan 8 - Britain's central bank has make national history by cutting interest rates to 1.5 percent, the lowest level since its creation.
The half percentage point reduction is the fourth's cut in so many months. The banks latest rate cut comes as the Treasury denied reports it is planning to inject more money, a policy known as quantitative easing.
