A low point on the UK High Street
Jan 13 - British retailers suffered their worst December on record, despite aggressive discounting according to the latest figures from the British Retail Consortium.
The figures reinforce an increasingly bleak outlook for the British economy and are likely to support market expectations for further interest rate cuts from the Bank of England.
