Thousands of hardliner Indonesian Muslims from the Hizbut Tahrir Group rally outside the U.S. embassy here in Jakarta. They're protesting against U.S. President Barack Obama's scheduled visit to attend the East Asia Summit in Bali later this week. As demonstrators chant and shout - voicing their opposition to Obama's arrival - protest leader Muhammad Ismail Yusanto says the United States only plans to take advantage of its relationships with Asian countries. (SOUNDBITE) (Bahasa Indonesia) MUHAMMAD ISMAIL YUSANTO PROTEST LEADER, SAYING: "Obama coming to Indonesia is in order to strengthen capitalism and imperialism in the Southeast Asia region, particularly Indonesia. Therefore through this movement, which is a way to show our concern for the future of this country, we urge the people to reject Obama." Obama is scheduled to arrive in Bali on November 18. He will be the first U.S. president to take part in the East Asia Summit. Travis Brecher, Reuters
