U.S. to get wanted 'Tweety Bird'

Dec 22 - A Mexican drugs gang member known as Tweety Bird is extradited to the U.S. over the shooting of two American immigration agents. Paul Chapman reports.

PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL Julian Zapata Espinoza is wanted in the United States over the shooting of two of its immigration agents. On Wednesday Mexico said it had extradited the man known as Tweety Bird to face the music. Zapata Espinoza, a member of the Zetas drug gang, faces charges of murder and attempted murder over the shootings earlier this year. The two agents were attacked in broad daylight as they drove in an armoured sports utility vehicle in central Mexico. The U.S. and Mexico offered multi-million dollar rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. President Barack Obama praised Mexican efforts to investigate the attack when he visited in March. Paul Chapman, Reuters
