Designer Diane von Furstenberg, or DVF, is on the front row of American fashion. For Fall 2012, the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America invites women to connect with their inner self. SOUNDBITE: Diane von Furstenberg, Fashion Designer, saying (English) "The show is called 'rendezvous' and what is a rendezvous? It's a meeting with mystery and expectation, so it's all about being loving, being a woman, being proud to be a woman. Go for it." Echoing this theme von Furstenberg got playful with puzzle prints in bright colors. Among them -- a one-shouldered jumpsuit in black and white. And a sweater dress with pairs of hands grabbing at the neckline. Also important are the color combinations of bright pink, green and red. SOUNDBITE: Diane von Furstenberg, Fashion Designer, saying (English) "Lots of colors of course, beautiful colors and then prints that are a little bit fun, like jigsaw puzzle and you know, notes and quotation marks and things like that." The fashion icon also forecasted the must-have items for fall. SOUNDBITE: Diane von Furstenberg, Fashion Designer, saying (English) "The little dressy black dress is going to be important. I think the big coat is going to be important and I think color." The collection is part of New York Fashion Week that will continue through February 16. Elly Park, Reuters, New York.
