Victims of a powerful bomb blast arrive at a Baghdad hospital. A car bomb went off outside a Shi'ite Muslim administration office in central Baghdad on Monday, killing at least 18 people and wounding around 60 more. The attack targeted the Shi'ite Endowment - a government-run body that manages Shi'ite religious and cultural sites. The large blast comes just days after six coordinated explosions across Baghdad killed at least 17 people. These recent attacks come at a sensitive time for Iraq, with the country's factious Shi'ite, Sunni and Kurdish political blocs wrangling over a crisis that threatens to unravel their delicate power-sharing agreement. Many Sunni and Kurdish leaders say they fear Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is shoring up Shi'ite power by sidelining them within power-sharing agreements. But Maliki supporters counter that his critics are obstructing the government to try to win more concessions. Travis Brecher, Reuters
