School officials in western Canada were horrified to find packages containing a human hand and foot delivered to two campuses on Tuesday. Although there is no immediate evidence, police suspect that the body parts may be tied to a gruesome murder of a Chinese student Jun Lin, who was killed and dismembered in Montreal. Body parts including a foot and hand are among those missing from the brutal killing. A Vancouver police investigator said that local police were in constant contact with authorities in Montreal. (SOUNDBITE) (English) VANCOUVER DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF WARREN LEMCKE, SAYING: "I can't link it to anything right now. As we progress in the investigation, we will provide as much information as we can. We have liaised with Montreal, and we will liaise with any other police agencies that we need to in the course of the investigation." One foot and one hand were received by mail at the headquarters of political parties in Ottawa last week, while Lin's torso was found inside a suitcase in an alley behind leading suspect Luka Rocco Magnotta's Montreal apartment. Magnotta was arrested in a Berlin Internet cafe on Monday. Sarah Sheffer, Reuters
