Hundreds mourn a man said to be killed by Syria's government forces and armored vehicles patrol the streets of Syrian villages. These are the latest amateur videos to emerge on social media websites. The army vehicles are purportedly driving into rural areas of Damascus and Homs. And in Deraa province, where the uprising began, the mourners chant anti-Assad slogans. Reuters cannot independently verify the content of the videos, which emerge as international peace envoy Kofi Annan arrives in Damascus for talks with President Assad. So far, Annan's plan has failed to end 16 months of bloodshed. Over the weekend Syrian television aired video of Syria's navy firing live missiles from ships and helicopters, in an exercise aiming to demonstrate its ability to "defend it's shores against possible aggression.
