Fans in Jamaica and Britain went wild as the Jamaicans athletes scooped all three medals in the 200 metres race. In the Jamaican capital, Kingston, hundreds of screaming fans cheered as the runners crossed the finish line. (SOUNDBITE) (English) IRWIN CLAIRE, JAMAICAN SUPPORTER SAYING: "I have to tell you it was a fantastic moment for Jamaica. I don't know what else we need to move Jamaica forward. All I have to say is Jamaica --one, two, three. One, two, three and I think that is the new marketing song." Usain Bolt took the gold in an unprecedented sprint double in successive Games after his 100 metres win. Fans in London partied into the night. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JAMAICAN WOMAN SAYING: "Oh my god its so amazing! It's absolutely incredible. I am so proud of them, 1,2,3." (SOUNDBITE) (English) JAMAICAN MAN SAYING: "Just after Jamaican Independence Day! It's just what we deserved, it is just what we got. So yeah, we loved it, we loved it." Yohan Blake took the silver and Warren Weir the bronze medal. This is the first time the Carribean nation has swept all three medals in an Olympic event.
