STORY: Italian designer Miuccia Prada drew inspiration from Japanese femininity for her Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Structured black dresses with hand-stitched flowery motifs were the key feature of the futuristic show revealing a tough and sweet attitude.
The theme of the double personality returned in Prada's contrasting shoes that were either towering high on thick wedge soles or totally flat like a pair of leather socks.
Some models wore dresses with digital Asian motifs fading into brushes of colour like in modern paintings.
Prada reinvented its iconic theatre into a geometric space where black and white stairs matched the contrasting colours of the collection.
Prada worked a palette of black and white, reds and dark green, while shoes had gold and silver details.
Evening dresses came with long hems but unexpected cuts exposed the legs adding a warming sexiness to rigorous looks.
