Nov. 9 - Rescuers find nine dead and 69 survivors in the wreckage of a collapsed shopping mall in Ghana. An unknown number of people still trapped in the rubble. Sarah Charlton reports.

The wreckage of a shopping centre in Ghana's capital, where staff and shoppers were trapped when the building collapsed. At least nine people were killed when the building fell due to a suspected structural failure. A search and rescue team from Israel arrived at the site on Thursday (November 8) to help locate survivors. The team were equipped with sniffer dogs and devices to locate movement in the building. Sixty-nine people have been found alive. Ghanaian President John Mahama said an inquiry was looking into what happened, after it emerged the building had not been approved by the city authorities. SOUNDBITE: GHANA PRESIDENT, JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA, SAYING (English): "We are going to work with the institute of architecture, city authorities, to inspect all high-rise buildings and make sure they are architecturally sound. Beyond that we must certify that buildings are sound before they are put up." Investigators have begun speaking to officials and are seeking the building's owner for questioning.
