Another funeral in Gaza - what could be the last for the moment if the ceasefire between Israel and Gaza's Hamas leaders holds. Emotions ran high in Gaza City as hundreds gathered for the funeral on Thursday, after eight days of air strikes that left 162 Gazans dead, including 37 children. Five Israelis were killed by Palestinian rockets. The ceasefire came into force late on Wednesday preventing, for the moment at least, an Israeli ground invasion of the Palestinian enclave. Hamas spokesman Sammy abu Zuhri said his side would respect the truce if Israel did. He called the peace agreement "the crowning moment of victory which the resistance achieved through the battle" and said it was a turning point in the battle against the 'occupier'. The ceasefire was brokered by Egypt's new Islamist government and backed by the United States.
